Prayer: Why is it Important?

Prayer is so much more than simply asking God for things we want. It’s about being in His presence. It’s about passion, specifically, a passion to be with Him. For the believer, the call to prayer is a mandate. Martin Luther, the father of the Reformation, said: “To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.” True, but how seriously do we take our mandate? We know God is always with us, but too often we fail to take the time to speak with Him. If God is our best friend, why are we not talking with Him? It’s all about passion and developing a hunger to be with Him.

The purpose of the Prayer Chapel, located near the Family Life center, is for you to experience the power and presence of the Lord Jesus and to develop a passion for prayer.  Please feel free to visit us and lift up your petitions to the Lord.  Please come by the church office if you need the security code.
