HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT IT MEANS TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

Every person must answer life's most important questions: Why am I here? Why is the world broken? What happens after death? Most importantly, how can I be made right with God? 

Human wisdom cannot provide the answers. God has spoken through His authoritative Word, the Bible. Because Scripture is God's truth, it is our only trustworthy guide for knowing Him, understanding our condition, and learning the way of salvation. Jesus Himself declared, "Your word is truth" (John 17:17).

THE GOSPEL

The word gospel means "good news." It is the message of what God has accomplished through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to save sinners. The gospel is not man's opinion or religious tradition—it is God's revealed truth, faithfully recorded in His Word. 

The Bible presents the gospel through these foundational truths: 

God Is Holy and Sovereign 

God created all things for His glory and rules over all creation with perfect holiness, wisdom, and authority. Every person is accountable to Him.

Man Is Sinful 

Every person has sinned against God by nature and by choice. Sin separates us from our holy Creator, and the just penalty for sin is death and eternal judgment. No amount of good works, religious activity, or personal effort can remove our guilt before God.

Christ Alone Saves 

Because of His great mercy, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, to live a sinless life, die as the substitute for sinners, and rise again from the dead. Through His finished work on the cross, Jesus satisfied God's righteous judgment against sin. Salvation is found in Christ alone and is received by grace alone through faith alone—not by human merit or works.

Our Response 

God commands all people everywhere to repent and believe the gospel. Repentance is a turning from sin and self to Christ. Saving faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior. Those who repent and believe are forgiven, declared righteous before God, and receive eternal life.

NEXT STEPS

Saving faith produces a transformed life. While these actions do not earn salvation, they are the biblical response of one who has been made new in Christ. 

Publicly Profess Your Faith 

Jesus calls His followers to confess Him before others. Share with your family, friends, and church how God has saved you through faith in Jesus Christ.

Be Baptized 

Believer's baptism by immersion is an act of obedience commanded by Christ. It publicly identifies you with His death, burial, and resurrection and testifies to the new life you have received in Him.

Join a Bible-Believing Church 

God intends every Christian to be part of a local church where the Word of God is faithfully preached, the ordinances are observed, believers are discipled, and the body of Christ serves together for His glory.
