We worship God and lift up the name of Jesus Christ, inspiring others to do the same.
Worship Expereince (Worship Service)
We do our best to provide a Worship Experience that meets the need of every person who attends, but more importantly honors God. We don’t put a specific “label” on our worship style (music style), because the bible doesn’t put a “label” on worship style. In our Worship Experience, you will hear modern worship songs and ancient hymns. You will hear an organ, a drum set, a piano, an electric guitar, and much more. But more important than what instruments are played; you will hear, see, and be a part of Jesus Christ being worshiped.
If you are wondering what you should wear to church, feel free to come as you are. Some people wear business casual; some people are more relaxed and wear jeans. We are more concerned with you worshiping Jesus than with the style of your clothing.
When you join us in a Worship Experience we know that you will sense that we worship Jesus and only Jesus. Not only in our music, but in Pastor Doug’s sermons as well. Our sermons are taken straight from scripture. Pastor Doug leads us, verse by verse, through the bible and teaches us how these verses apply to our lives. We know that every week you will take something away from the sermon that will guide you throughout the week.

Auditions and Interviews – Why?
Many people ask the same question, “Why an Audition/Interview?” There are some roles in worship ministry that are more demanding, more intense, or require more experience than others. It is our desire to set our church members up for success. Many people have a desire to fill certain roles, but some may not have the skill set to pull off those roles. The audition process and interview process protects everyone from feeling overwhelmed or embarrassed in the future.
“But aren’t auditions and interviews intimidating?” They can be but they are necessary. At Greer First Baptist Church, we make the promise that interviews and auditions will be relaxed fun and engaging. They are not designed to be intimidating or demeaning. Come give it a shot, and we promise we will get you plugged in where you fit best into our Worship Ministry.
